Trailer Connector - Which is Backup Lights???
I'm trying to hook up a backup camera and am having issues with finding the backup light wire. My truck is a 2005. I had originally had it on the orange auxiliary wire and I could turn on the backup camera, but it wasn't triggered when truck went into reverse (duh). So I looked up the diagrams and from all that I can find it is the center post of the connector, which is a black/pink wire. Can anyone confirm this?
I hooked the trigger wire to this black/pink, and it says there isn't an input (meaning no voltage). Being a reverse light wire, its not something I can easily check with a voltmeter by myself.

Engage the parking brake, turn the key on (not the engine) trans in reverse. Then you can check the wires. I think it is the center wire you desire.
Or run a jumper wire right over to the actual reverse light in the taking housing

I thought you tapped into the tail light, not the trailer connector. My trailers don't have reverse lights. For the trailers I have wired, there was not a "reverse" anywhere on the connector. Lights, Brakes/turn, electric brakes, but no reverse.
