glow plug problem

06 f-250 6.0 original owner. truck set up winter of 13, no probs before, at 107000, #2 glow plug code set. used truck when weather warmed up, hard start first thing in morning, ran fine rest of day (s). needed truck for 1500 mile round trip. did oil change with filter, fuel filters too. got almost back home (-3 miles), water in fuel light came on, stopped instantly and drained conditioner. 1 mile later on uphill grade, truck lost power and stopped. got home with strap tow from wife with her vehicle. started troubleshooting same day, ficm test at 48v, no injecter clatter with koeo. upper fuel filter body 1/3 fuel with some water. what now!

Doesn't sound like a glow plug issue.

Sounds more like bad fuel. What fuel filters are you using? OEM filters should not allow water into the secondary filter bowl.
