Turbo whining?
I just got back from the coast this past Saturday when I got in own I heard a whine coming from the turbo area of my truck. I drive a 2006 f250 6.0 4x4 I had my mechanic take a look at it before I left he said everything is fine he ran ever test on the turbo and the engine. Then yesterday I turned it on for te first time since Saturday and after a while it just started whining while not even in motion? Most of the time now it's only when I hit certain speeds. It sounds like it is coming from the outlet of the exhaust but it is hard to tell especially when it happens when I'm driving down the highway. Any clue what it could be?

Could be a leak in the up-pipe connections or bellows. Or, some have had problems with the journal in the turbo getting coked up and causing it to kind of whine and/or howl. I have a howling sound from mine but just haven't found the time to take it to Ford to have them check it out (I have an Extended Service Plan).
Of course I'm assuming you aren't talking about the whistle or jet sound these turbos normally make.
