Our machines up at work have clocks on the screen so every time you look at the thing to see what tool or stage or point of the program its at for running parts you always see the clock on the thing and I've had a few moments where I wanted to beat my head into the door of the thing just if it meant making the day go by quicker.

Bit far for your toys don't you think? I like to play with mine a little to often some days. I know what you mean about slow, we had one of our big suppliers for work orders move their plant to Mexico and they've been slow on sending work in and kept us in the dark so at this point we could be either seeing layoffs or shorter work weeks but at the same time we could start getting slammed for orders and I could be working 40 hours a week plus as much overtime as I can handle. Franky I'd rather have the 40 hours and then some with overtime just so I can build up some serious funds while I can. Beats working part time jobs for a whole lot less than overtime.

I hate it to, one on every machine and one on the wall in the building but yet not one in the break room, might be for the best on that one come to think on it.

Where I live in VA you have to travel to find a good paying job anymore that treats you decently. No if's ands or buts about it. Unless you count 7-elven as a good place to work.

same in HR.. your lucky if you have a short drive... mines 13 mile round trip... but its 30-45 min drive because of our traffic... back home you can be looking at 2 hr drive one way just for work.. and may not pay well even then... its a struggle back there..

Bout 50 mile round trip for me I think (I never pay attention to the trip counter so I really don't know anymore) but it only takes me 40 minutes to get there and that's with a stop in the morning for monster energy drinks.

Yeah it gets annoying. Add to that the radios even have clocks on them.
