Yes Shawn. We have to replace our tents. Our newest tent is about 25 years old at this point. Our oldest tent is 34 years old. They are just plain worn out.
I have 2 modern tents for camping already. As for age when taken care of right you can get them to last this long but time has finally caught up to them. Add to that they are made of untreated canvas so it takes alot of care for them to begin with.
i need to pull mine out and set it up for inspection... last time i used it the weather wasnt the best... rained while i took it down from camping.. had set it back up when i got home to dry out but was little damp when i put it away...
I need to pull all of my camping gear out and inspect it all. Then organize it again. And put it all away. Downside is I can only set one tent up at a time in my back yard. Both of my tents are big. One tent is a 6 person 12'x10' tent. The other is a 4 person tent.
that ones mine... which i need to buy a new spring pole for it... the repair kits on the selfs were the smaller diameter poles... works for temp situation.. but need to get the proper ones... had one crack when i took it camping...
