I know there are a lot of guys here who prefer the look of the deleted dash pad, and I think I do too, but I can't help but wonder if it would cause the sun to reflect into my face as I'm driving. I know my hood is bad for that sometimes. I don't want to make driving my truck a dangerous thing to do on sunny days.
Also, if anyone has pictures of cabs with no dash pad, I'd like to see them.
I think that the sun glare would be the one and only complaint.
Everyone likes shiny things, the paint is no exception. I have a 64 f100 with no dash pad, the paint is grey on the dash. I get a little glare from that but nothing compare to my instrument cluster bezel, that's polished aluminum.
I wonder how a dull sheen paint job would look.
From reading your posts, I'm sure you'll come up with something, your a bright young man who thinks things through.
