local parts help
hi all, I bought a new blower control module for our 04 excursion from Tousley Ford, well 10 days later it quit as well.
I called Chris at Tousley and he told me that the part is warrantied at all ford dealers for 2 years, and to pull the part off and take it with the receipt to my local Ford dealer and they would get me a new one. Chris said no problems should be expected as this is a common problem on superduty/excursion.
so I pulled the part off and went to Wendle. Their I was told that I had to pay for the part and let them send it off for warranty at a cost of $151.xx plus tax. which was doulble what I paid from Tousley with shipping.
next I went to Gus Johnson, they want me to pay for an hour of diag time first before they will warranty a part.
other option is to send the part back to tousley and then they will send me a new one or pay for them to send one out in advance and they will credit me back when they receive the old one.
any thoughts on this are appreciated thanks

You bought the part from a rival FTE sponsor, so I dunno if Horizon will help or not. But they should honor the Ford warranty as all other dealers should.

being an FTE Sponsor or not. It looks like they are not longer a Sponsor.
But you would thing with the Ford warrantee they would quit playing games. But they are
trying to put your money in there pockets.

AFAIK, Auto Nation Ford (formerly Tousley Ford), is no longer an FTE sponsor. This most likely occurred within a couple of weeks after Tousley sold out to Auto Nation.
If you click on Marketplace - Sponsors, there is no listing for Auto Nation.
