Reading various boards I have seen alot of complaints about Ford dealers. Where I live, Ford stores are known as Ford "stealerships". I think that Ford should have more control over their dealerships. I think they should own all of their stores and set policies consistent with every dealership. I think this would insure better service for warranty repairs as well as lower the create the possibility that customers could get a better price on a car, truck, van, SUV, etc.
When someone has a bad experience with a dealer, they blame the company. I think that the salesman, service techs, parts people, and managers should be direct employees of Ford instead of the dealerships. If everyone at the store was employed by Ford, then I think customer service would go up and we could blame Ford for their poor dealer service and bad sales people.
Ford tried to do that a couple of years ago and they started buying dealerships, but somehow it ended up being against the law and they had to sell the ones they bought.
