Hi Guys,Can someone tell me which wire's I need to look for in order to put a hidden toggle switch in between the key ignition and starter ,I work in a high theft area and want some extra theft protection for my 1994 F-350.
I wouldn't do that, everyone that's ever worked on an old Ford knows you can just jump the starter solenoid to crank it over.
You want to disable the engine from running instead. In the passenger side footwell, remove the trim panel and find the inertial fuel cutoff switch. Square black box with a red button on top. There's two wires that go into it... if you break either one of them with a switch then the truck won't run at all. The thieves might crank it til your battery goes dead or your starter burns out, but that truck ain't moving under it's own power.
Just remember... if a thief wants a vehicle bad enough they just show up with a tow truck anyway.
