Wow we're into November already, another year about over.
We made it through Halloween with a couple dozen kids, and finally got rid of most of the candy we bought.
We had a couple of neighbor's over for some BBQ yesterday. I did a #7 Brisket in the smoker, with mother nature kicking me in the butt trying to keep in a good temperature range of 200-225 degrees, and burning Hickory and Cherry wood. Came out pretty good, nice smoke ring in the meat, nice smoky taste. And made half a batch of my beans, and a pack of Brats.
Hope everybody's doen alright
I had to back out of my hunting trip to West Virginia. Too much going on at home and especially work. I was pretty disappointed. They are up there in the woods right now. I'm clicking buttons at work for the man. I hope to be done with the proposal this week. Next chance for a few days in the woods is over thanksgiving.
Thanks James, but that, is what a Beef Brisket looks like after being in a smoker several hours, then sliced. This was a 7 pounder that took about 10 hours also a batch of my beans and some brats.
Looks like y'all are staying busy. Weather bouncing around cool to warm, and now damp has my lower back flared up. Making a batch of Chili today, and got some hot dogs too, gotta have me some chili dogs.
Having quite a time getting started on making our 20' mega tree for our Christmas light display. I have the idea in my head, but can't find the correct length of string lights.
Hope everybody is doen well.
Y'all stay safe n behave
How's everybody doing, well I hope.
Quiet around here too, Shari is killing the day at a friends, Tim and I have given up on the Mega tree idea, and I got rid of all of the pvc pipe that I snagged, but kept the flexible stuff for some else.
Just finished polishing three of my guitars, new strings, and lowed the action on two of them, so they play a little easier.
One more week until our get together, hope the weather stay's on our side I don't do well in wet damp stuff, it just goes right to my lower back.
Y'all behave
Doing decent here. Bout to head to church, got my parents along with my little brother/sister following us in there expedition. Also got another buddy and his girlfriend riding in with us this morning. He has a 1200 sporster, me and Steve told him we would slow down so he can keep up with us! Haha.
Finally got my diesel inspected today, tags ran out in July. Also picked up my new conceal carry permit today with my updated address that we have been in since January....
I miss my 1200 Sportster. It's what I learned to ride on. May pick up another bike this winter, but it's low on the list of 'necassary' items.
Bob,
I've got a list as long as my arm of work to do in the shop now that the cooler weather has hit, but i'm trying to remember those sanding discs. Hopefully we'll get chance to finish off that cab corner this year and start picking up the rest of the body parts I'll need.
BTW if anyone comes across a brick nose with great panels for dirt cheap, I can certainly use them.
I started mocking up the exhaust for the little truck this weekend, just felt too damn cold (or hung over) to finish it up.
We pick on him a little, he started riding on a v star 250. He got tired of being the little bike so he jumped into a 1200 sporty. Only had 750 miles in the V star. He could of easily picked up a Vulcan classic 8-900 newer and cheaper than what he paid. While having a larger fuel tank and a more comfortable ride.
He bought this 02 sporty from the Harley dealer...... forgot to take his own lube too.
