I was one of the very few that didn't drink (even though it was free for us), in fact several of the higher ups got pretty toasty. It was either have my gun and not drink, or not have my gun and drink. I chose protection over alcohol. But had a nice ribeye that was supposed to be medium rare, but ended up being more rare than medium but was still very tasty.

Good call Larry, I'll take my pistol over a cold beer. I'm not a drink and drive fan anyway. Just not worth it, seen too many things when I was with the local Fire Department back home.

Well the wife wasn't drinking either so I had a DD. But I prefer a cold one at the house over a restaurant anyways.

My turn

We're packing up and trying to get out of the house in the next hour or so. Heading home (Missouri) for my best friends, dad's funeral. He passed away last night in his sleep.
We haven't been back since we moved over 2 years ago. Turning it into a little visit with friends and family too.

Today is my official start of "vacation" I don't go back to work tell January 6th. Not really going anywhere, but will be a good bit of hunting and family time!
