2001 PSD E40d Tranny Failure

The E40D tranny on my 2001 F-350 failed at 50,000 miles. Was told that it was the intermediate one-way clutch that failed and is now obsolete. Ford would not help at all and I was wondering if any body else has has this problem and if they got any satisfaction from Ford. If so, please let me know how to get my new tranny paid for by Ford.

2001 PSD E40d Tranny Failure

Yes it is july 14 and i just got word that my tanny is needing to be replaced. My wife was driving on the hwy and it just went out. The ford dealer is now saying that they will pay for half of the bill. I do have the same truck and i have 51000 miles and never off road the truck. I think that there is some thing doing on here with the tranny. If you email me back maybe xchange # and talk about this.
