I checked engine compression and all cylinders were within 1-2 psi of each other.

I bought an edelbrock 1406 for it and am searching for an intake.

I am still undecided on camshaft and I am not really sure how to make a choice.

Pick one by the operating range. A truck needs one that pulls from idle up. Like Comp's 252H.

Just a heads up about the 252H. That's what appeared to be in my truck when I bought it. And it was the most torque-less turd of a cam below 1700 RPM. I now have an XE250H and it has much stronger low end torque and the MPG averages .5 MPG better over the 252H.

Actually, I misspoke. I did mean the XE250H. Like Matthew I had one and it would turn the tires from idle on concrete. Very strong from idle.

Dumb question:
I know the cam's from a 302 and a 351w will interchange, but are there performance differences when it's in a 351w with factory heads?
Also, do I need new rocker
Arms? Valve springs? Etc? I was planning on new lifters but keeping the rest.
Would I be better off just
Sucking it up
And buying one of the kits?

New lifters are absolutely required with a new flat-tappet cam. The old lifters have mated to the old cam and will be destroyed in short order if even moved to a different lobe on the same cam, much less moved to a new cam. And, your timing chain needs to be replaced if it has very many miles on it, so you should buy a kit.

As for comparing a cam for 302 to one for a 351, a mild 302 cam will have less duration and/or lift than one for a 351. If you think about it, most 351W heads have the same runner and valve sizes as 302 heads, but you have to get 16% more air and fuel through them. So you need more lift and/or duration to get the same effect.

New valve springs are recommended with the new cam. Rocker arms aren't required. You can use your stock rockers if you like. I run the Comp cams Magnum series roller tip rockers. Very well built for the price. However, they make the engine sound like it has a solid lifter cam in it.
