Flash question?
I used to have a BullyDog GT tuner but now I got a SCT X4 with some custom tunes from Matt @gearhead and I just got off the phone with QuickTricks to get a Looney file and the guy told me that I should have my computer in my truck reflashed as Bullydog leaves remnants behind and I should have it reflash before loading new files as they won't work correctly. Gearhead says otherwise they say just clear the transmission memory because its a learning tranny. Does anybody know the true answer?

Bullydog is a piggyback style tuner.
If it helps everyone sleep better you can either:
Reset the KAM with the SCT tuner to clear all adaptive learning
or disconnect all 4 cables from the batteries, turn the headlights on and leave for approximately 20-30 minutes to drain the computers.
I would speak to Vivian at Quicktricks and not someone else, she knows what's up.
For me personally the Looney Tune is way more brutal than the SRL, but the SRL is more daily driver friendly.

Clear the KAM with the SCT, it's what I had to do when my transmission learned something bad.
Vivian does know her stuff, she probably also reminded you to update your SCT and why.

Ok I cleared the KAM, and everything seems to be ok. Now my egr doesn't work. Is this apart of the programming?

Clear the KAM again with the truck up to temp, 190 degrees or so, perform the VGT relearn.

The truck does some more learning during this process. It should get things back to normal sooner.

-Make sure the truck is hot
-Put the tune on or leave it on if it's already tuned
-Reset the KAM with the SCT
-Perform the VGT relearn
