Trailer back up light power

Was moving a boat on a trailer with surge brakes and found I could not back it up. Found that I had no power on the center pin on the round 7 seven trailer connector.
When backing this type of trailer the back up light power opens a solenoid that keeps the brakes from working in reverse.
Don't know how long its been like this because this is the first time I moved this trailer.
The question is where is the fuse and or relay for this.
The back up lights on the truck do work.

Thanks

This diagram might help.

It covers the power supply points, fuses and relays.

Ground should be pin 1.

On my wiring diagrams there is a reversing lamp trailer tow relay in the central junction box, gets power for the reverse lights through fuse 38 20amp. The coil to close relay gets power from battery charge relay, and get ground from DTR Digital transmission range sensor. The wire going to the 7 way is black and light green tracer. That's what I got hope it helps.

Are you sure that is how your brakes work? On any surge brake trailer I have moved you always have to put a pin through the actuator at the front to keep the brakes from engaging while backing up. As you brake (going forward) the trailer moves toward the truck engaging the brakes, so you can imagine, backing up you are doing exactly this and engaging the brakes, so you can't back up (or it is very difficult because you are fighting the brakes). Maybe I am speaking out of line, just not sure how familiar you are with surge trailers, it could be this simple. If you already knew that, please ignore my post

Our trailer is a boat trailer if it makes a difference.
My son has pulled with his 06 with no problems
Seen a few other boat trailers with the flat 5 connector set up the same way.

I had an issue with my trailer brakes and turns out there was a bad connection. There is the 7 pin connector and the harness plugs into it with a large round connector and that joint was corroded on just about all of the connections. I had to get a new 7 pin connector and all is better. I wish I had the solenoid on my trailer even though I have drum brakes on my boat trailer which are not supposed to activate in reverse I do get some grabbing at times if I am backing up a hill.

Ours was a boat trailer as well. This type of setup. See the option for 'reverse lockout' that is what I am referring to. Once you put the pin through the brakes will not activate, therefore backing up with ease instead of fighting the brakes.
