Torque Converter Angry
Yesterday I noticed a new angry sounding noise coming from under my truck. Its only on power and in the 20-42mph range is when I notice it. I took my inspection cover off today and it sounds like it may be coming from the TC.
I'm going to take to to a shop and see what they say. For the life of me I can't seem to get a camera to record the sound even though in person its audible.
What brand TCs do you guys recommend? The one in there is purple, so is it an ATS? They are the only ones I know of that make purple ones, but I've also never looked. It was rebuilt 110,000 miles ago.
For anyone that wants to attempt to hear the noise through engine. I can hear it but I know what I'm listening for.

The Precision Industries torque converter that Brian at BTS uses is purple also.
Might not be the same purple as yours though, and, there is more than one torque converter re building company that has "Precision" in their name.
