Show me ONE.
And IF you are right, if you change the engine, you would have changed the vin?
well mister know it all smart *** i cant because my dad sold the engine and trans out of the 1930 truck i currently own
that is why i know this if i ever get around to building it ill have to do a reconstruction title
the only possibility is some of the floor structure that held the wood in could of been stamped which mine was rusted away
but a few people ive talked to told me the same as ive found

My 1929 Model A had the serial number and build date stamped in the firewall. I believe there was a serial number on the engine as well, but it definitely had it on the body.
can you show me a pic ive yet to find anything on that cab would love to find it
maybe because the 29 and 30 are actually different bodies?
Sorry, I can't. I sold that car about 15 years ago (there are pics of it in the "My Toys" thread in my sig, but none of the VIN). If I recall correctly it was on the driver's side a little above where the steering column comes out. But yes, there was a significant redesign in '30. I don't know what all changed then.
