Help,
I just got a code on my 2004 F-250 6.0, P0265, which came out to be a Cylinder 2 Injector Circuit High. Did some searching and found the probable cause to be a Miswired connector or harness…
Ran the truck up on a camping trip about 125 miles, no issues, then some back roads, then on day 2 started it in the morning and check engine light came on associated with a little rough running.
Ran the truck home, another 125 miles, engine would shudder a little in a certain power band, then smooth out, no smoke and engine temp was perfect…
Haven't taken it to a mechanic yet, just wanted to research to see if anyone had any ideas/advice???
Thanks for the reply,
I'm new to all this diesel, first diesel engine for me, I'm guessing that the coil on injector is similar to the coil on plug of a gas engine?
How hard is the fix, just replacing the COI or more to it than that?
Need to do a power balance test with a ids or something equivalent. Might want to unplug the # 2 injector and see if it changes idle. If it is the coil, need to change the whole injector

OK, sounds like its going to the mechanic, worst case if it is the injector, how involved, and is it pricey???
Well, not too bad, I was fearing in excess of $500, just bought this truck from a private seller and now I'm thinking it might be a lemon…Hope I'm wrong. Anyway thanks again for the info…
