I needed an extra remote for my F-250. Went to my Ford dealer and almost passed out at the cost for a key/remote. We spend lots of time in the boonies doing photography and my fear of losing my key or leaving it in the vehicle was the driving force.
Did some research and found these on amazon. For $5.95 I figured they were a joke or scam, but ordered one anyway. It works like a charm, so I ordered a couple more of them. No more worries about losing a way to get into my F-250.
Thought I would pass the link along in case there are others who would like to give this a try.
Edit: I did post the wrong link by mistake. The above link is good. If you go to the extended details it gives you information as to the vehicles it will work on and it does work for the Ford F-250 up to 2012. It comes with some simple instructions.
Just follow the instructions to program them and you are good to go.
There is a link on the site to see more product details. Go to that link and it will give you a list of the vehicles it will work with.
Look, I found this item to work great with my two F-250s. I have several of these remotes and they all work and are easily programed. It will take you all of two minutes to get them all working.
I just posted this as I thought it might be useful for someone in my situation. Neither of my F-250s have keypads on the doors and this works good for me.
I do resent the guy below who suggested I was a scam artist etc. That was totally uncalled for.
I have posted here for a few years. Don't post much, but have created a few threads asking for help with various issues. I just thought this migh be of value to someone else.

You turn your key from the off to run position eight times, within 10 seconds. The doors will automatically lock and then you unlock the doors to make sure the system is in program mode. Immediately [within 20 seconds] press any button on the remote. Can program four of the remotes four remotes before you have to repeat the process.

Easy to read instructions come with the remotes.
I thought this might be the process. This has been standard over the years since like 1996 or earlier. I was thinking might be different with the IKT fobs
