Now that I have remote keyless entry on my 99 F250 SD, it doesn't always work. RKE was installed from the factory. I didn't get the remotes when I bought the truck. I got 2 new ones from the dealer and programmed them. They work 98% of the time. This AM when I went to get in the truck, there was no response from the truck. No interior light, and the locks did not move. I tried the other remote, as my wife leaves at the same time I do. Still nothing. I opened the door with the key. When I got to work 20 minutes later, it worked fine. Lock and unlock. When I left work at 11 AM to go somewhere, they worked fine. When I left at 2:30, they did not work. I opened the door with the key. I tried the remote when I was in the truck, and it worked. At 3:30, it didn't work again. It did when I got home 10 minutes later.
Both actuators were replaced last weekend. The old ones were a bit sluggish, and a couple of times I noticed the RKE didn't work, either.
This is annoying! Any suggestions where or what to look for?
Thanks
In the last week mine has started doing the same thing. I called my dealer and they said to bring it in and they will look at it. I'm worried that they won't be able to duplicate the problem. I'll let you know how it goes.....
