Looks like I have an exhaust leak. Has anyone else ran into this?
EDIT: It appears that hole should actually be a metal tip. I recall hearing the sound of something metal falling and hitting while I was driving. What is the hole/tip?
Does anyone have any suggestions on a replacement?
Do you have any gauges?
Looks like a hole for an EGT sensor. An aftermarket gauge, you have to drill a hole and put a temperature probe in it. https://www.google.com/search?q=EGT+probe

I do not have any gauges, however, there is a might fine chance that the previous owner did.
Given that I don't have gauges is it worth it to put a probe in it?
Not to mention that the manifold looks really rusty anyway.
So after looking at Advance; there is another Dorman part that does not appear to have the EBP fitting. Is there not an EBP sensor from the factory?
EBP was factory, but they disabled it for the 03-early 04, so I suppose it's possible for them to make one with out the hole. Makes way less sense to do it that way though. You could be looking at the underside, but probably the passenger side.

Yea, the pics on Advance seemed to not have side that should have the EGP sensor.
The pic that took was from underneath and on the driver's side.
Thats the exact same spot i put my EGT prob. I bet it loosend up and the unhooked prob fell out. See if its tapped. If it is put a plug in it or put an egt guage in. mine is pretty rusty and crusty right now. It may not last much longer.
Looks like an EGT port or a EBP port. However, my EBP port is on the front of the drivers side. I don't know if they move the EBP port on various models.
It should be tapped. If so, find a plug to fit. If the threads are stripped (if the EGT probe fell out) retap a tad larger.
And get some gages. If you have an android device, spend $25 and get the Torque Pro app ($5) and a good OBDII Bluetooth reader ($20 off fleabay). it'll be the best $25 you'll spend this decade. I invested this $25 with the intent of upgrading when needed. The app is so powerful, I don't think I'll ever need to upgrade.
