Just wondering what consists of the "Camper Pkg" on my(new to me) 2001 F350? I just came across it on my window sticker and wondered what the difference was between that and the regular tow pkg?
There are added relays, controls, and connectors for things like backup lights, electric brakes, a battery charge line, and helper springs on the suspension.
This was clipped from the 2002 Ford towing guide. The tow package is required but then this package was available for slide in campers.
Super Duty F-250/350
Camper Package
(Option Code 532)
• Heavy service front springs
(200-lb. upgrade over springs
computer-selected based on
options ordered. Not included
if maximum springs already
selected.)
• Rear stabilizer bar (SRW
models)
• Slide-in camper certification
i did not know that was an 'option'. i installed airbags and frame mounts… would like to add the stabilizer bar. if you are gonna put a slide-in in the bed on a SRW, i would recommend the airbags.
