The key componet of the camper package is the rear sway bar. The front springs are upgraded, but only one level. If you want stiff fronts get the snow plow prep package. That gives you the maximum rated front springs. If you're planning on lifting it you may want to skip the camper package and order a Hellwig rear sway bar. The upgraded front springs would be getting tossed anyway.
Take my post with a grain of salt. I have a 350. Probably rides much rougher then a 250 would. (rides like a lexus after you put the boat on the hitch though) lol
I love the ride of my truck as well. It rides like a truck darn it. I have ridden in a comparitive GMC and boy oh boy, that thing floats like a Cadillac. That's not a truck, that's a darn car. If I wanted a car I would have bought a car. So Yeah, Mine is a little stiff as well, but hey it's a truck NOT a car.
One thing to remember the ride depends on the year of the truck. I had a 95 F250 and it rode like a buck wagon, like jarred my insides to death. I traded it in on my 05 and the 05 will haul and tow more but rides like my car!

Mine is an 05 4x4 and the ride is rough.............................
May be a silly question...but are you going to actually load a camper on it? If so, why would you jack it up four inches? I would think this would end up giving you a higher center of gravity and less stability. I have a 2000 F250 SD LB 4x4 auto V10 that came from the factory with the heavy duty suspension. We use it to carry a Lance 835 (8'6"). Our camper weighs out about 2,900 fully loaded. We have the rear stablizer air bags, that I pump up to 75 psi, and they make a world of difference on the stability of the ride with the camper on. Without the bags pumped up, I get a lot of sideways rocking when going around corners or over bumps. I just wonder if you'll have stability problems if you jack it up. As for the ride... with the camper on it rides great. With the camper off and the air bags dropped to 10 psi, it rides pretty stiff. We have an area on the freeway called the LA ripple. If I go more than 50-55 mph on the ripple, I start bouncing around. If I push it to 70 mph, it's one heck of a ride. The truck also has Bilstein shocks all the way around, which probably makes it stiffer.
People are saying that these trucks should ride like trucks ,they are not cars , I say they are cars . in the whole scheme of things. Like alot of people on this site, Im a heavy duty truck driver and although I love trucks I dont want my personal pickup truck to ride like Im bobtailing on the Brooklyn Queens Expessway, I expect a certain amount of comfort.
