Installed my chip, think I cleaned pretty well.
In position 1 (stock) it lopes real bad and shuts off.
In HP positions, in high RPM it acts like it doesn't want to shift right, Jumping and bucking.
Maybe clean it again?
Question: where did you get the chip? The reason I ask is that I didn't think Php offered the TS anymore since the hydra came out, although they will still flash tunes onto them iirc. Is there a chance the tunes on the chip are for a different PCM strategy than what you have? Or maybe even for modified injectors?
Gotcha, I forgot Php does have third party vendors offering their tunes. Well, if the cleaning and preparing the board doesn't fix it, you may call KT and see if they can reburn the chip. I've read a single instance where the calibration file on the chip was corrupted for some reason. Extremely rare though.
It's possible, I cleaned one one time where the color was showing and didn't have any problems, but I've read people that have had to re-tin the contacts. Maybe one of the other guys can tell you more.
If you are decent with a soldering iron, you can retin the contacts. The easiest way would probably be to load up a solder wick and just paint it on with the iron keeping the wick soft. That's what "I" would do...
