Cruise Control question ....
Cruise Control question ....
I have a 2007 6.0 L F350 super duty truck.
My question is on highway only like interstate highway, is it okay to use cruise control while towing something like a travel trailer?
I noticed when I am pulling my 24 feet travel trailer and when I use the cruise control, it drives fine until we come to a hill and going upward it would disengaged by itself.
Is that normal for it to disengage by itself while pulling something going uphill?

I found some information on Ford website about using cruise control while towing.
Look like it a normal thing for cruise control to disengaged itself while going uphill
Guide to towing | Ford.com
It stated that if the speed drops 8 to 14 mph then cruise control may cancel out until and wait until terrain level out before using it again.

One of the few complaints I have about my truck is the illogical behavior of the cruise control. It's all over the place speed-wise on the hills. Sometimes I turn it off even while unloaded especially in traffic. It drives like a blue hair that ain't paying attention, lifting the throttle at just the wrong time, slowing as much as 2-4mph and then roaring over the top of hills at 3-4mph faster than it's set speed. 6-8mph speed change just on one longish hill sometimes. Rock solid on the flats.
