Cruise control manipulation
I figured it was worth a shot asking the question. I have a 2004 Ex with 6.0 PSD. Will towing 8000-9000 lbs without cruise control I can hold it steady at speed all day long without any downshifting. Put it on cruise and the instant it hits a hill it drops about 5mph the downshifts and races back to set speed. Then his the crest of the hill and starts down the hill doing 5 over and downshifts to maintains speed only to shift back up in time for the next hill and the cycle continues.
Is there anyway to reprogram the cruise to be smarter.
I don't mind driving without cruise but on a 10hour trip it gets a bit tiresome
