Step Bars

I mounted them with Nut/Certs. I cut a oval hole in the" A"pillar molding using the bolt cover from the handle as a pattern. They are very sturdy no flexing. With the running boards and grab handles my wife and grand sun have no problems entering and exiting the truck. The boards also make cleaning the windshield very easy. I will get more detailed pictures and post them.Rodger

Do you have those pictures? These are next on my list of things to do to please the women in my life. I got the step bars so they can shut up, but they always bitched about not having any handles. What is "Nut/Certs"?? Did you go into the sheet metal there, or just to the plastic trim panel? I would think going just to the plastic wouldn't be enough to hold someone's weight.

You have to go into the sheet metal. Nut/certs are a pop rivet like internal threaded fastener. The handles are from a 2008 ford explorer. I used the original mounting bolts. You will have to bend the mounting ears about 3/8 " to get the handles to follow the "A" pillar contour. I have to rely on other people to take the pictures. I will post as soon as I get them.

Ok good, because then that'll get everyone off my back to "get handles put in".
