Step bars

I need to order some step bars for my '86 F250 Supercab.

Anyone know of any reputable ones?

I'd be ok with a tube-step:

Any other suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks.

Yeah, that goes without saying!

I gotta have them though, parents and girlfriend refuse to ride in it until I get some installed. They have to literally crawl on their knees to get in it, and then bitch up a storm about how I need them. Truck came with them when I bought it, but they were full 'camper style' looking running boards and were just a god awful sight to see. So I took them off.

Is this for the crew cab in your avatar?

I had these tube nerf bar - steps custom made. They were powder coated and last a good ten years before some of the coated started peeling. My truck is regular cab, but the concept applies to you. Any place that makes tube bumpers and nerf bars can make these.

later I replaced them with single steps (which would also work for you. You just need two sets). These are aluminum. A coating of wax keeps the aluminum looking nice, but they're not as maintenance friendly as the powder coating.

It's a Supercab i'm told. Crew cabs had 4 doors if i'm not mistaken?

It only has 2 doors, but for anyone that needs to get in the back...i'd like to have enough bar for them to step up and get in.

I'm thinking that something that's actually 'built for my truck' would be best. That way I get a warranty too.

Some name brand will do just fine, I'm not familiar with any name brand step bar manufacturers, but as long as they're stainless/aluminum, I can't foresee there being a problem. I've tried searching around, but most of the bars i'm finding are either ambidextrous or meant for some other model.

Too bad that'll be the majority of people who ride in my truck. My girlfriend has 2 daughters as well. They always have a hard time getting in.

Got any ideas?

One of these "power retracting" steps would be nice (but not cheap). POWERSTEP Automatic Retracting Running Board

There are other, less expensive. steps on this site too. The "Bully" steps at the top of listing are the ones I just got.
Truck steps - Truck Side Steps, Cab Steps, Hitch Steps, Truck Bed Steps, Nerf Bars, Running Boards

DeeZee tough Steps #23 are what fit these trucks. They are very strong and take the winter abuse. Also. They bolt right to the frame

I just bought a set of Westin's. They're the ONLY site that actually had one for a Supercab. Most sites were saying crap like, "From $69 to $489" or something like that. Then you go to their site trying to find a set that will fit and either they say it's for F150 or Supercab isn't available.

I'm sure they fit numerous models...but I just like to be assured that it'll fit.

There is a place out there that makes stainless nerd bars for these trucks. I just have to remember their name

I took Archion's advice and went with Westin.

They're the only site I saw that actually says they're meant to fit on a 1980-97 F250 Supercab.

Every other site was extremely wishy-washy with their products, saying stuff like, "fits Ford trucks" or "from $69 - $369". I just want a straight price, and let me know that it will fit my exact model year. Is that really too much to ask for?

Step Bars

I Installed these running boards and grab handles on my 86 F350. They are from a 2006 F 250 double cab. I got the boards and brackets for $50.

Can you post more pictures of the grab handle and how you attached it? That would help me out greatly!
