Im looking to add some side step/nerf bars to the truck and i am considering the nerf bars that fit up tight to the rocker panels with the drop steps....
my question is...i have never had anything but traditional side steps/ bars and wasnt sure if there were any draw backs to the drop step typ that i am considering.
I am looking to go with the chrome wheel to wheel...like these
I like the stock ones that came with my truck but I guess there really is no point to the extra area to step on. A friend of mine has the drop down time you are looking at with the third step in back for getting in this bed easy, looks great and he says the third step comes in really help full. I would think so since I am always stepping on my rear tire to reach into the bed for stuff.
i like the six step (bed access) type but i havent seen any yet that are chrome. all of the 6 step are black. would be real handy to have that extra step tho.
Yeah im loving it.....miss the 7.3 but these trucks are really really nice.
the power steps are real cool....i like the look of the truck without the steps but its a pain to get in and out....especially for the wife and kids. plus they are twice the price.
i can spend the extra on spray liner, window tint, window vents, etc???
I ripped the OEM tube steps off within a week of my new trucks arrival and sold them on Craig's List.
I do like the ones you picked out better than either style of the OEM but I like the AMP Power Steps the best.
Now you see 'em:
Now you don't:
Agree, AMP Research Power Steps are the best by far. My son was climbing in the truck on his own at 4 yo. You also don't have to look at them when you don't want to. Shop around as there are deals out there.
