Yah, I AM little and bruise easily!

Of course the wash owner gave me a ride to/from Napa so I could make it in time!

Actually, my ego went from deflated to immensely large after fixing it in a parking lot on a Friday evening. Since we were camping and our tow vehicle was out of commission, it was a relief. My wife knows me as 'Mr. Fixit', but was a little impressed this time.

Tip 'O' Day: The lower bolt stripped on the starter. I bought a 10mm coarse thread replacement, just a hair larger diameter than stock bolt, and it went in slick as ever, cutting its' own threads as it went. Had to use a few washers to take up the extra length, but what a cheap fix! At home I would have drilled/tapped for next size larger bolt, but this saved two steps.

Alls well that ends well

That is a brilliant idea to use a slightly larger metric without tapping-not something you could easily do with our Amurican bolt system. We should just go metric and get the pain over with-what the heck are we waiting for????????
