Start problems (not cold start)

Okay, I just had the glow plugs and the glow plug relay replaced. Even before the replacement sometimes I would turn the power on and the check engine light would come on. When this happens the truck will not start. I can toggle the key a couple of times, so the check engine light won't come on, and then the wait to start light is up then the truck starts.

Now the truck is having intermittent start problems. It will run great, and then you go to start it and it won't quite get there. It sputters like it is going to, but it just doesn't get that next little bit needed. It happened this weekend, and after two days of trying to solve it, it just started up.

I thought it might be the High Pressure oil, but I checked the reservoir today when it didn't start, and there was plenty of oil (about 1/4" down).

Today the truck started, but the accelerator wasn't responding (this has happened a few times, and if you just turn off the truck and start it up and it works fine), so I turned the truck off, but it won't start now. I am thinking it is probably the computer. Would batteries be the problem?

Any other thoughts or words of advice. Sorry it is so long, just trying to give you as much info as possible.

Thanks

The easiest thing to do is have it scanned for codes instead of throwing money at it.
