door switch
2007 F-250 extended cab. door switch is not acknowledging that the door is closed and warning on dash that the LF door is ajar. interior light shuts off eventually but kind of annoying at night. physically the switch works but just wondering how it works before I take the door panel off the back door to see what's going on back there. does the switch/latch connect to a cable? any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The switch is part of the latch. The reason the lights
go off is a timed relay. There is a youtube on how to
get at it. Also some guys will just hose them down
with WD-40. Seems to work well. What happens is the
switch gets sticky and you have this problem.
