interior driver side lock switch not locking

interior driver side lock switch not locking
Hello all,
so here is my problem. I have a 2009 f150. The interior driver side door lock switch unlocks but does not lock. The passenger door lock switch locks and unlocks. The auto lock function (the one when you drive it locks) locks all doors once you start to drive. I have a buddy check the line going to and from the door switch. It shows that the switch is getting and giving the signal to unlock but nothing shows when you lock. I really don't want to spend $100 for a Ford mechanic to diagnose the problem and then tell me that my extended warranty does not cover the repair. Does anyone have any insight to what this can be? I took the cover off the modual by the passengers feet area and I can here the door switch rely click when I press the lock or unlock button, it just doesn't lock? I do not think its the actuator since it locks and unlocks from the passenger side and the auto lock function. I need help and stressed trying to figure this out. I forgot to mention, I took out the driver side door switch, tried a new one and it did not eliminate the problem.
