I got a nice P0671 today.
I just don't feel like rooting around in the
engine bay right now. I even have an extra
plug. But If I am going that far I will do the
full side.
That is what I was thinking and part of the reason I am going to wait a little. BTW How much of a pain is the 1~7 side to get at? Sean
Sean I've replaced a few and I remove the inner plastic fender well. Hatter that is out of the way it's pretty easy. Takes about 15 min to get the fender well out of the way...
I ran a while (months) with three out on the drivers side. Truck started fine.
Replaced those three just to get rid of the CEL and cause I finally had time.
Get the harness and get the tool. You'll still have a heck of a time getting some of them out, I ended up grabbing the wire and yanking them out that way. Swearing in frustration. I even sprayed them down with lube first.
Easy job, I did the drivers side right over the top, did not remove liner.
I had one for quite a while Maybe a year then half way into last winter another one. I always have it plugged in so didnt think it would hurt. Picked up 8 new plugs and 2 harness and took care of it end of spring. Didnt seem to care as long as it was plugged in in the winter.Got all the parts from former tousley ford.
i had codes on 6 of them before i changed mine (all 8 obviously, harnesses too). i too removed the inner liners and the hardest part of the job was getting broken harness pieces out.
