Hi All,
Picked up our first Excursion last month, and been lurking here for awhile. 2000 XLT 2WD, 6.8 137K miles, okay condition. We went with the Excursion for a few different reasons, 1) growing kids, had a 2003 ram 3500 Quad cab and anyone riding in the backseat =knees in my back, 2) we have a church youth group that we take on campouts, how do you haul 7 kids and a travel trailer (legally)? Excursion was the only answer I could come up with. We looked at an Expedition EL, but it just didn't have the roominess of the EX. Okay so far the forum has helped with plugs, coolant flush, 45 torx bit to fix seat belt, stuck liftgate, hellwig sway bar, cup holder, dim overhead console, and I'm sure a bunch more things. Hopefully someday I will have some wisdom to share as well. Thanks to all in the community for all the great and useful tips.
