My wife's previous truck (Navigator) was an amazing vehicle and served us well however, she wanted something a bit larger, so it was either an Expedition EL or an Excursion. Seemed the 2005 PSD Excursions and 2008/09 Expy ELs were about the same money, but the Excursion was a better fit
Anyways, what to do now?
We've been lurking on the site, looking for accessory ideas, etc. Right now, she's 100% factory.
Congratulations on buying the most versatile SUV on the planet!(of course I am biased). There are so many mods it's unbelievable. Take a look over the site, you have a lot of reading to do....The guys here on the forum are second to none. They can get through nearly anything. Again, congrats and get ready to spend some money!
[quote=XS29L9B;11388610]It is interesting, and much more truck-like than the Navigator.
The Nav, had tighter steering and a more sporty feel. But I expected the Ex to ride like a truck, but hope to change that a bit.
Yea, I know what your talking about on the steering, it takes close to a 60 foot circle to turn one of those bad boys 360 degrees if its a 4x4. But you will get acustomed to it after a while. I park my in the driveway and pull up to the garbage container and can most always get within 6-8 inches of it and never touch it. Of course I have had 3.5 years of pratice.
