I had two rigs with 6.5 TD's in them and had great luck with both putting a combined 400k miles with very few issues. The Suburban I sold to buy my Excursion is still going strong. That said I wouldn't put one in an Excursion. The are a light duty diesel. I did love the "no turbo" lag at all with the 6.5. It drove very similar to a gasser but with better torque. Cooling is the major issue with them...................
