as many of you know ive had weird issues with my 4r100, though over a year ago i fixed it finally with the transgo kit i installed well it seems the gremlins are back! For the past two and a half months the truck no matter how hard i stand on the brake will clunk bang engage extremely rough in reverse.
And my softer than stock 1-2 shift which was fixed when i did the transgo kit has now come back only this time i also get what seems to be belt slippage during the 1-2 shift...... and now when i get onto the highway the 2-3 shift also has this squeak again like belt slippage or something inside the trans is squeaking??? I dropped the pan again today on my lunch break and like always the pan is spotless and the magnetic is clean just a little blackish film on it no shavings or anything, im totally lost now and it seems like im going to have to rip the trans apart and find the tools to rebuild it or just have it rebuilt?
I can't comment on the problem but am wondering if the transgo kit is a mechanical kit you install to improve the shift by changing the flow in the valve body of the tranny or if you are able to change shift points with a computer programer? Trying to learn more...
Its a mechanical kit it uses a shift calibration plate you enlarge holes to adjust shift firmness along with new line valve mod valves and springs along with a pump snap ring and other small parts to improve the weak 4R100
