I had one on my old 97 F-150 4.6L 4r70w, it does work. Then I went ahead and installed a real B&M shift kit, along with a Superchip. I liked the real shift kit better.

All combined, shift plus set on high, shift kit and Superchip that thing would bang, and I mean bang gears. Very harsh

I didn't do that very often at all as far using eveything together. After the real shift kit I rarely used the shift plus, simply becuae it just shifted too hard.

The shift plus is pretty neat. I think all it does is icrease line pressure. I didn't notice anything odd after using it when dropped the pan/valve body to install the shift kit. Didn't appear to do any harm.

I'd like to have something on my truck now, it shift like molasses.

Another thing, you probably already thought of. The shiftplus is adjustable and can be turned off. When you install a regular shift kit you have to choose the firmness when you're installing it and that's that, you're stuck with it.

I had mine back in 2001ish when I had my 97 F-150. They've been around a while. They've also gone up in price a little looks like. I think parts stores like Auto Zone carry them now as well. I think I'm going to p/u one for my truck, I took that one off of my 97 when I got rid of it but I can't find it anywhere.

I'm sure we all feel that way about the little brown truck, lol

It's a quick and easy install. It comes with everything you need and it just taps into a couple of wires near the ECU.
