A fellow 6.0 owner and close friend called me last Friday to let me know his truck was stolen the night before and to keep an eye out. While I remained optimistic that his truck would turn up with minimal damage, that wasn't the case.
It was found Friday evening stripped of most of it's engine parts and whatever else they could get off the truck before they were discovered. He sent me a few pictures of the damage, but I must say it's heart wrenching and sickening to see what they did to it.
So while you think it won't happen to you or your truck, think twice.
-Get some Jimmi Jammers- it won't completely prevent a thief from getting in, but it will slow them down and lessen the likelyhood of them gaining entry.
-Get a Revelco- They may be able to get into your truck, but they won't be able to steal your truck.
The above are just cheap insurance to prevent something you worked hard for from being taken and destroyed by a low life thief.
I got my lock punched in a very rich part of DFW (Frisco, **** IKEA store is like crack to my wife), it happens where you won't expect it because the thieves don't **** where they eat. I was in the store maybe half an hour, came back and they'd hammered the lock cylinder damn near through the door and jammed it so the door wouldn't open at all.

You escalate the damage for every ounce of prevention. I would just lock, have an electrical cut off somewhere and pay the Insurance premiums. Thieves are using tow trucks and getting away clean.
Hate to hear that--it is very sickening. The last truck I had stolen was a couple of years ago--was a c1500 which is no big deal--but It was my dads and kept it when he died. I hadn't had the truck at home 2 month and drove it to work. We have video and it took them a total of 30 seconds to get into it and drive off. I got to work at 8 and it was gone by 10 and I didn't leave or know it was gone until 6:30. When the cops got there and we were done I asked if I should start looking for another vehicle--his reply was yep. He said it was probably already in pieces. Haven't heard a word since.
I hate thieves. They are lazy and can care less about other people. All I can say is there better never be one trying to get anything of mine when I am around. There will be no talking them out of it.
That suxs , Even with Insurance company's they will low ball our truck so low it's not worth it, but yet we pay high premiums . I say at 1.00 a bullet I can take out 10 thieves for 10,00 bucks that's a hell of a deal. Best O luck to your bud
Wait just a doggone minute, my truck has PATS, fellas... I'm pretty sure that's like an invisible force field and stuff like that. So,.. I'm good there.

Pats equipped trucks get stolen too. Don't kid yourself
