How in the world do these locking hubs go back onto the wheel hubs?
Once they're off, and upon ATTEMPTED reinstallation, they DO NOT want to seat far enough to reinstall the big snap ring visible from the outside. Oh, sure, it gets close. But not close enough to fit.
This is driving me crazy! So close, yet so far away.
PLEASE, does anyone have any info about this?
I've already destroyed one good locking hub trying to "massage" it on that extra fraction of an inch.
Find a soft-face hammer, or use a block of wood to protect the face. Tap the hub/wood till it seats. Try using somegrease aroung the o-ring on the hub to helpseat the hub.
