This happend a few years back when I bought the truck but it seemed to fix itself after a few cycles. This time it wont come back. The screen on my 06' that showes the outside temp has quit working, but if I push A/C or heat the screen comes up and stays as long as one or the other is on. Is this fuse? Or do I have other issues.
Thanks,
If you have power to it, send it here. There are several chips inside that can have poor solder joints. Mine had one chip missing completely. $25 and quick turn. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-F150-F2...-/331100519801

If you have manual, *****, for your a/c system, you are talking about the lie-o-meter in the overhead display.
The electronic (eatc) automatic a/c system has a digital display built in which shows ext temp.
The eatc system has an ext temp button to control what temp is displayed.. when off, the display is blank, unless you select ext temp.
It is remembered, provided you don't disconnect batteries!
The overhead display is easily fixed by resoldering a few resister packs that fall off from a hot roof being so close.
I believe Ed is starting to fix read-outs and iTBC modules.

Yes Ed said he was but said to drop him an Email if you want info.
Also try this. When it out and the EACT is off push the OAT button
and see if it comes back on. If it does then it was just set on inside
set temp display. With the system off there is nothing to display
so it blanks. Mine was blanked after all the work I just did and I got
to playing with it and found that with the system off you hit that
button and it would blank out if not displaying the OAT (Outside Air Temp)
