Do you notice any seat of the pants power improvements?
And if so, what part of the rpm range?
There is some power improvements but I don't feel them as much as I would like. This might be because I am running 325x65x18s vice stock tires. I believe that if I was still running stock I would be able to feel a lot more power out of the engine. Where I see the improvements is in spool time. It is almost non-existent compared to what it was, allowing me to open up the engine and unleash the power a lot faster.
For the rpm range, it really doesn't matter what rpm I am at. When I punch it the power is there and the lag is gone. It took a while for the transmission to re-learn and I swapped out the stock intake to an S&B due to not getting enough air to the turbo. (It would whistle before i changed it) which allowed the MAS to calibrate to the new wheel and more air but once that did it runs so much better.
One of the things that I really like about it is now I am back to where my MPGs were before I put on those new tires. Granted I didn't due it for the mileage (or I would own a prius) but it is an added benefit.
I would do it all over again even with the fuel system going out on me like it did.
