Correct they never put a "4x4 Off Road or FX4 Off Road" sticker on the bed side of a 73-79 at the factory...at least not as far as I know or have ever seen.

Any that you do see are aftermarket, not factory.
Ford did use some nice emblems on the side of the slicks (61-65's). These are reproduced.
Thanks for the help guys. Didn't know for sure if there were original decals. I did see a few trucks on YouTube but must be from the 80's or 90's. Do you guys like them? Or should I just keep it looking original???

I vote keep it stock.
I always felt, the bigger the decal, the more someone is compensating for their short comings .
The Dent speaks for itself 2 wheel drive 4 wheel drive.Years ago I was way back in the mountains blowing off some rounds with my python,,,along a river in an old mining town,,,A fellow came back and saw my truck.He said "Thats the first 2 wheel drive I have ever seen back here".Once you commit there was no turning back.One tough dent.it speaks for itself.
