f250 4x4 package diffrences?
I just bought a 1997 (old body style) crew cab short box F250 with a powerstroke diesel. It is 4x4 with the xlt package. For some reason it does not have any 4x4 stickers on the rear sides of the bed. I have seen other F250s that have grey stickers that say 4x4 off road and some that just say 4x4. I used to have a 1994 F250 4x4 that had red 4x4 stickers on it. I would like to get the correct stickers for my truck but was just curious were the diffrent stickers part of diffrent packages offered by Ford when the trucks were new? If it is any help my truck has the auto locking hubs and is white.

I drive a 97 F250 4X4 for work and it dosn't have the 4X4 stickers on the bed either. I believe the stickers were an option because when my company bought the truck we decided not to order the stickers because they were an additional cost. Try your local Ford parts department; I'm sure they can help determine which stickers your model truck should have.
