Sorry for the troll, couldn't help it. There is something romantic about it from back in the day though. Several truck driving songs mention it. Times have changed I guess....I don't automatically fall in line with the politically correct crowd often but I did pay extra money for an upgraded EGR cooler instead of a delete. I had stayed in a Holiday Inn Express the night before so... Hey,, that reminds me, I'm not supposed to drink and post!
I'll Drink to that , Cali has been taking punches at us for a while now , It's only going to get worse, off road diesels like tractors How in the hell will I get all those tractors smogged The State needing to line there Pockets again

It is amazing, that is what is pressing in the world today? Really?, they can't do an episode on the illegal's coming across the southern border, they are shooting .50 cal across to lay suppressive fire to get people in, yet they do an episode on "Rollin coal"

I don't trust our media

Monday, Gov. Rick Perry (R-Texas) announced he is deploying 1,000 Texas National Guard to the U.S. border with Mexico, saying he can not idly sit by while "our citizens are under siege."

Where is the media here? Or POTUS? I digress.................

The point was, it wasn't "coal rollers" in small pickups from 1980-2007 that caused DPF's to be installed in new trucks.

It's too bad the way the laws are written they can only stand around.
Or just sit on there hands.
I would like to see the law changed so they can shoot back.

Unfortunately, many people (not you, work with me here) today have the attention span of a goldfish.

Evidently following "the laws" is for suckers, if you stop and think about what you just wrote. This is the scam being perpetrated. Some "They" do whatever they want.

The other "They" however, have to follow the laws. See how that works? (It doesn't) and always ends badly. It's not starting out too good, either. Justice Brandeis wrote about this a long time ago.

Here was not the best place for me to of posted that comment.

Back on topic.
The Coal Rollers need to be put in a box until they grow up a bit more.
Yes I know that will never happen.

Just like the hooligans that show up at some event just to make as
much trouble as they can for no reason other than the hell of it.

So far most coal rollers are from Dodge owners, the Average out put in our trucks don't emit that much black smoke unless there is something wrong with the truck and you can help it. even when I get on it my truck don't spit that much out. ( ok I lie only when I pass a Dic head)

Just for full disclosure, I'm not a fan of sharing the road with bicyclists or walkers and in all honesty, it really isn't as healthy as you would think even if you don't have a rollin coal truck (or two or more) to deal with. The same issue applies (more so if you doing a harder workout). This town has spent millions (yes that is correct) in new biking/walking trails and I swear there are more people on the road doing those activities then before the building of those trails. The roads that they like that actually have a good shoulder, those idiots are still right smack dab on the line right next to traffic and I just love it when you have a trail right next to the road and follows the same contour that the road does and yet they are right on the road instead of where they should be. I shouldn't forget the mountain roads that they love so much either that have no shoulder and no ability for vehicles to stop in time and that's going the speed limit. I guess the fumes (not the rollin fumes mind you, the normal output fumes from a vehicle with a properly functioning emissions system, that's the irony with cycling/running/walking alongside roadways, especially busy ones) has already affected their brain cells.

As to the rollin coal itself, it's always the idiots that do this. Part of this is reaping what was sown with the mindset of "it's my truck and I can do whatever I want to with it". If what you did only affected you that's one thing, but if it affects a larger group, especially a portion of that group that doesn't do that, that's something else.

Reminds me when we were kids, removed the mufflers from our mopeds, 3 of us rode around at night "terrorizing" the neighborhood with our moped gang. Mom yelling to come home always ruined the image.
