20x9 Mickey Thompson Big Rig wheels with 4.5" backspace. I added these wheels with this backspace to try and give more lateral stability. Also did an add a leaf and helwig anti sway bar. This was an attempt to stiffen the suspension to eliminate body roll. My thinking was to reduce the body roll the yaw sensor was detecting
Definitely helped the body roll. No kidding, the truck corners like a corvette. However, it did not help the inadvertantl traction control activation.

yeh, I expect that the front pivot angle has changed and that is what is confusing the yaw sensor. (well, its doing what it was told but the environment has changed)
Thanks for the compliments guys. Hopefully Crystal can move this up the food chain. I know some one is smart enough to figure this out. I'll keep tou psted if I learn anything.
Update from ford. Will not help troubleshoot problem unless I return truck to stock configuration. Guess I have some wrenching to do or learn to live with it.
Started today by remounting and balancing original tires onto the original rims. Aired them up to 65 psi and took a test drive. Traction control problem still there. Could even feel and hear abs actuator activating in straight line driving in one spot.
More problematic, however, was my first experience of death wobble. I was driving down straight road with slight decline and hit a little dip in the road and all hell broke loose. Thought maybe the wheel was coming off and got it to the side of the road to check . Everything appeared ok except for my wife who was with me at the time. Thought I might have a poop emergency on my hands as well. Scared the crap out of me as well.
At least now I have confirmed there is a problem and not my imagination. Also ruled out tire diameter as the issue. I will keep digging into problem and let you know what I find. Death wobble is real and not fun.
Sorry you are still having issues but maybe now you can get some help from FOMOCO.
I had a minor, yet very noticible wobble when I would strike a bridge abutment or a wrinkle in the pavement. It took two trips to the front end alignment shop to correct the problem and Ford bought me a new steering stabilizer. It helps for now. I bought an aftermarket stabilizer but haven't put it on yet. In fact, I don't even remember where it is. It's lost somewhere in the black hole of my garage.
