FYI Discovered power steering fluid leaking. I had refilled the reservior 2X so it was time to repair. Researched the price of a new line but wasn't sure where the leaking/cracked line was.
Flashlite and a nose dive into the master cylinder/degas bottle area I went.
Obviously it would only drip under load, so employed a buddy to turn the wheel.
There is a union just outboard and below the degas bottle. Leak was at union. Of course, a fight ensued with the degas bottle. Degas bottle finally tapped out. Discovered the the connector was just a turn or so loose. Tightened same.
Now for the reason I'm posting this:
I've had the truck 3+ years. Do my own wrenching. I've never had that line loose. So for those of you with a slight power steering fluid leak, you might want to try that first.
My$00.02 worth.
