Ideas on exhuast

Hey all,

I have a 88 f-250 460 EFI. I am getting ready to do a bed swap and was thinking of doing "true" dual exhaust while the bed was off. I am leaning towards 2.5" straight pipes all the way. Any other ideas or something I am missing? I wont be adding a cat since I can get away without it here.

Thanks
Mike

Do a search. This has been covered A LOT. No mufflers is NOT a good idea

Thanks for the links. I had been looking into doing mufflers as well. I am needing a rebuild hopefully soon burning alot of oil, why I was going to wait on muffler. But from those threads I am definetly going to do mufflers. Thanks again.

A dual in/dual out muffler will provide a deeper tone than two individual mufflers.

My 97 is true-dual with Flowmaster 10 Series and cats, and it's LOUD.

And my neighbors tell me all the time how much that hate it

IMO true duals suck in all ways, at the minimum do a dual in dual out muffler. Dual in single out is better, a good Y-pipe even better.
