i finally figured out how to transfer data from the security DVR to a flash drive so i can print still shots or save it with a lot of help from my 13 year old neighbors son.
but now i can not figure out how to convert from a 264 file to something my computers can recognize.
i tried downloading win-zip like the computer suggested, but still am lost and can not open it. no matter what i do i get a can not recognize format notice.
anyone have any ideas to get me working? and i would appreciate it if you put it in terms a 10 year old can understand, i am not all that smart when it comes to computers.
.
your 13 year old neighbor has a son? and your neighbor's son is old enough to help with computers?
Might need some sex education in your hood!

there, is that better mr perfect?
i did find one glitch with the new system.
apparently the remote control is the same frequency as the one for my verizon fios box. every time i push a button on the TV remote, i change functions on the DVR.
i guess i have to call the DVR manufacturer monday and see if i can change the remote frequency.
as for mr perfect! not me, I have spent many years reading papers for my wife, when she was in nursing school and when she was getting her bachelors I read every paper several times looking for mistakes before she turned them in. so now I find myself doing it all the time.
